Goa Travel Advisory! SWINE FLU

The government swine flu advisory in Goaof India at Goa has issued the following advisory to people in Goa and those arriving in the state from rest of India or abroad, to arrest the pandemic of swine flu facing the world.The advisory is as under

 

Swine Influenza virus (H1N1) is causing an epidemic among humans in Mexico and has spread to neighbouring United States and Canada. Some cases are now being reported from Europe and other countries.

Swine Influenza has not affected India

Do not panic!

Necessary medicines are available and measures are being taken to limit the entry of the disease in India.

TRAVEL ADVISORY

Government of India advises all its citizens to defer non-essential travel to the affected countries

The list of affected countries is being constantly updated on www.who.int and mohfw.nic.in

APPEAL

People who have travelled from Mexico. USA and Canada in the past 10 days and show symptoms of influenza like fever, cough or sore throat and difficulty in breathing should immediately contact
